Seahawks park-and-ride shuttle service canceled for Oct. 1 night game

Summary

King County Metro’s direct shuttle service to Seahawks games from area park-and-ride lots has been canceled for the game against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, October 1. [UPDATE: The Seahawks shuttle service has been canceled for the remainder of the season].

Story

The cancellation affects Metro-operated dedicated shuttle service from the Eastgate and South Kirkland park-and-rides to CenturyLink Field that has been operated in partnership with the Seahawks. Metro no longer operates shuttle service from the Northgate Transit Center.

Metro will post signs at affected locations and have extra supervisors in place to assist riders with questions. Regularly scheduled transit service will be available, with 26 Metro and Sound Transit routes serving CenturyLink Field and Pioneer Square. From Northgate, Route 41 operates roughly 15 minutes on weekends to the Downtown Transit Tunnel. From Eastgate, fans can ride ST 554 to downtown. From the South Kirkland park-and-ride, Route 255 runs every 30 minutes to downtown and the International District. Fans can also ride ST 550 from the Bellevue Transit Center.

Sunday’s kickoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Fares are $2.50 one-way. Customers who plan to ride Metro service should plan ahead and allow extra time for travel to the stadium. Fares are $2.50 one-way, and can be paid with cash or ORCA card.

Fans also can ride Link light rail, which operates between the University of Washington and Angle Lake, and has stops in the Stadium area, SODO, the International District and Pioneer Square.

Metro riders can use the online Trip Planner or call Metro’s Customer Information Office at 206-553-3000 to plan transit trips. The Customer Information Office is open weekdays, 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. More information on travel options to CenturyLink is available at the Seahawks gameday transportation guide.
